Some love stories come full circle — and Chelsea and Kaden’s is one of them. These two first dated back in junior high before life took them in different directions. Kaden never stopped trying, and after eight years (and a whole lot of persistence), Chelsea said yes to that long-awaited date. Almost two years later, they’ve built a beautiful life together — complete with their sweet pup, Blu — and now have the most golden portraits to show for it.
Their couples session took place at Dudgeon Lake Wildlife Management Area in Vinton, Iowa. The tall grass and warm sunset light couldn’t have been more perfect — and don’t even get us started on Chelsea’s dreamy floral dress and Kaden’s clean, classic look. They looked like they stepped straight out of a summer romance novel.
As a couple, Chelsea and Kaden are playful, affectionate, and relaxed — and that energy came through effortlessly during their shoot. They mentioned that Kaden isn’t normally a fan of photos, but by the end of the session, he was totally into it (shoutout to Christopher’s “ooo, this is it” and chef’s kiss moments for keeping things fun and easy). From cuddles to laughter, they embraced it all.
This was their first time getting professional photos done as a couple — and you’d never guess it. Their chemistry, comfort, and genuine connection made this session a joy to capture. And the fact that it was done in the area they plan to stay and grow in made it all the more meaningful.
