Brooklyn & Blake | Couples Session at George Wyth State Park

There’s something special about photographing a couple who not only loves each other deeply, but genuinely enjoys being around each other — and that’s exactly the vibe Brooklyn and Blake brought to their session.

We met up at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, just before sunset. The light was soft and golden, pouring into the tall grass and giving us the dreamiest backdrop for this session. Brooklyn and Blake were a little nervous on the drive over (they told us they’d been chatting about it in the car!) — but you’d never know it from the photos. Within minutes, they were relaxed, laughing, and fully leaning into the experience together.

These two met their freshman year at Wartburg College, where they’re both studying social work. They’re fun, faithful, and full of love — not just for each other, but for the people around them. Brooklyn lights up with a joyful personality and the kind of smile that’s totally contagious. Blake has a kind heart and a calm energy that instantly makes you feel at ease. Together, they’re silly, affectionate, and full of warmth.

They described their session as feeling like a “date night,” and honestly, it was exactly that — full of laughter, sweet moments, and even a few unexpected jokes from Blake that made Brooklyn laugh mid-pose (those are always the best moments to capture).

Their favorite thing to do together? Spending quality time — whether it’s sipping coffee, going for a walk, or heading to church on a Sunday. It’s clear that wherever they are, they’re just happy to be in each other’s company.
