There’s something undeniably magical about fall in Iowa, and Annika and Braydon's engagement session captured every bit of it. With golden leaves swirling in the breeze, tall grass glowing in the October sunset, and soft light dancing across the lake at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, the evening was full of warmth and color — and so much love.
Their story began in the spring of 2022 when Annika left her number for Braden while he was bartending. One cup of coffee the next morning turned into forever. These two quickly became inseparable, sharing their favorite rituals — like late-night Culver’s runs and quiet time together — and building a love that shines through in every photo.

Braydon proposed in true fairytale fashion at the Palace of Versailles. After wandering the gardens, they found a quiet spot behind the palace where he got down on one knee. It was peaceful, intimate, and absolutely unforgettable.
We loved capturing their joy during this session — from barefoot moments on a sandy lake shore to laughter echoing through golden trees. Chase photographed them with ease, letting their personalities shine and capturing their sweet connection. “We were able to let loose and feel comfortable expressing our love,” Annika shared. “Chase made it so easy and fun.”

The two light up when they talk about each other. Braydon says Annika’s smile is the brightest thing in any room, and she describes him as patient, kind, and goofy — with a dimple that could melt anyone’s heart. They’re most excited to spend a lifetime building a future together, side-by-side in love and faith.
Their favorite song? “Lost” by Frank Ocean. Fitting, because this session felt like a dream you’d never want to wake up from.
